Lady Dane Farmhouse receives £5,000 following a year of partnership with the former Mayor of Faversham, Councillor Josh Rowlands

Strode Park Foundation has received a generous donation of £5,000 for its care home in Faversham ‘Lady Dane Farmhouse’, from Councillor Josh Rowlands following his successful year as the Mayor of Faversham.

Claire Dante, Registered Home Manager at Lady Dane Farmhouse, said, “We were incredibly honoured to be chosen as one of the Mayor of Faversham’s Charity Partners of the Year, and it has been a real pleasure working alongside Councillor Josh Rowlands over the past year. One of the highlights for our residents was our Graduation Awards Ceremony, where Councillor Rowlands presented medals and personally congratulated our residents on their achievements, making it a very special event for everyone.”

Councillor Josh Rowlands said: “It’s been a pleasure to work alongside the amazing team at Strode Park Foundation this year, and to be able to hand over a cheque for £5,000 is just incredible. Looking at the work Claire and the team do at the Faversham centre, it’s mind-blowing the care they offer residents. I look forward to continuing to work with them to help raise money for this amazing cause.”

Claire shared the difference the wonderful donation will make by saying, “We are immensely grateful to receive this generous donation of £5,000, which will make a huge difference to the lives of our residents with disabilities in Faversham. Part of the funding will support our exciting new sensory garden project, creating opportunities for our residents to develop new skills in a relaxing and joyful outdoor space.

Helping our residents feel connected to their local community is very important to us. Working with Councillor Josh Rowlands has helped create valuable new opportunities and experiences. We are very thankful for his support and look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”

Councillor Josh Rowlands has been a great supporter of Lady Dane Farmhouse’s vital work for people with disabilities during his time as Mayor of Faversham, and we are very grateful for all he has achieved during his time in office.
