Our values are at the heart of everything we do and how we treat each other. They provide essential guiding principles about the way that we work and set the tone for our culture, and identify what we, as an organisation, care about. They will help you make important decisions to choose between right and wrong ways of working.
When this happens, people understand one another, everyone does the right things for the right reasons, and this common purpose and understanding helps people build great working relationships. When values are out of alignment, people work towards different goals, with different intentions, and with different outcomes. This can damage work relationships, productivity and job satisfaction.
We use our Values and Behaviours within:
- Recruitment – the application form and the interview both ask for examples you can give to demonstrate our values and behaviours. This helps us pick the right person for the job.
- Employee Development – During Supervisions, One-to-One discussions and our Appraisal process we discuss the values and behaviours to help everyone succeed and thrive in their roles.
