Trio of trainees join new nurse cohort

Three new Care and Support Workers will be joining Strode Park Foundation’s Nursing Associate Apprenticeship programme for 2021.

Clarissa Hollman, Keeley Gallagher and Tom O’Reilly will become the charity’s next cohort of Nursing Associates and are due to start their training with Canterbury Christ Church University in September.

They will join last year’s recruits – Sherri Frier and Elliot Kennett, who are embarking on their second and final year of their training in September.

Clarissa is currently a Lead Care and Support Worker in Strode Park House, Keeley is new to Strode Park and joined the Foundation in May and Tom has transferred from Outreach to Strode Park House in order to undergo this exciting opportunity.

Learning and Development Lead, Sam Stuart, said: “Thanks to the hard work and dedication of everyone in Strode Park House, we have been able to expand our offering for this Apprenticeship. I’m really excited to see the Trainee Nursing Associate family grow and have been so proud of the progress Elliot and Sherri have made on their student journey. I wish all five Trainees the best in their studies.”

The trio will be supported by our nursing team who are trained Practice Supervisors and their Practice Assessors Sandra Juniper and Victoria Bellamy.

In May we held a socially distanced welcome event so that the trio could meet the team.
