Charity shop aids key skills for residents!
Coach House, long term resident Mark has recently started a new volunteering adventure!
Tracy Bury is hoping to tick her fifth half marathon off her bucket list and will also be raising money for Strode Park Foundation at the same time.
Half-marathon old timer Tracy, 48, is really looking forward to this year’s London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 1 August.
Training for the 13.1 mile race started for Tracy at the end of April. She said: “Training will be hard and hopefully fast. I am really looking forward to race day as I have been wanting to do this race for the last two years but never got in. I am looking at doing this half in under two and a half hours which is what my last half marathon was.”
And as an added bonus Tracy, from Bridge just outside Canterbury, is also pledging to raise at least £300 for Strode Park.
She added: “I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Strode Park Foundation because I have seen the amazing work they do for the children, young adults and adults and their families. I have not had any dealings with the Foundation myself but would love to help them raise as much money to help them keep up with the fantastic work they are doing. I am planning on raising £300 but if I can get more than that’s fantastic.”
