Generous donation from local housebuilder

Local housebuilder David Wilson Homes has this month supported Strode Park Foundation’s Lady Dane Farmhouse Care Home, which aims to give a home to Kent residents with special needs. The housebuilder, who is building its Perry Court development nearby in Faversham, has made a £1000 donation to the charity.

Strode Park Foundation has been providing care and aid for the people of Kent since 1946. The donation from David Wilson Kent will support the Lady Dane Farmhouse in Faversham, a fifteen-bedroom care home providing support, living opportunities, and day and leisure services for both children and adults with a range of disabilities.

The Lady Dane Farmhouse forms part of the charity Strode Park Foundation, with a team of specialists working with a number of residents with varying disabilities to enable them to live as independently as possible, in a comfortable environment tailored to their needs. Both long and short-term residential care options are available, with residents able to customise their own room to ensure it feels as comfortable and as familiar as possible.

Natalie Perry, Sales and Marketing Director at David Wilson Kent, commented: “Strode Park Foundation is an integral part of Kent’s care network, and we are proud to support their work to create a caring community, and in turn do our part to help this charity to continue its crucial operations. We are delighted to make this donation to Strode Park Foundation, knowing that it will go towards the garden project at the home, which is currently undergoing a complete transformation.”

Karen Jeal, Director of Fundraising and Communications at Strode Park Foundation commented: “Our main passion at the Lady Dane Farmhouse is about making sure our residents enjoy a good quality of life both in the home and in their outside areas. The donation made by David Wilson Kent is such an instrumental help to our current fundraising project to get the garden usable for our clients and we can’t thank them enough for this significant donation.”

David Wilson Kent is currently building a selection of 3 and 4-bedroom homes at Perry Court in Faversham, with prices starting from £359,995 for a 3-bedroom semi-detached home.
