February 2024 Monthly Thank You

As we do every month, we have lots of amazing people, businesses, and organisations to thank and we want to share the wonderful ways in which they have and are continuing to support the charity and our work.

Without all of these supporters we would not be able to support our residents and clients the way we do.

To begin, we’d like to say thank you to:

The Whitstable Active Retirement Association (WARA) for having the foundation in to present a talk about what we do and ways that you can support our charity. In addition to this they raised a whopping £62.34 during this talk. Thank you WARA for the donation and allowing us to showcase our charity. If you are interested in booking us in for a talk then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Next up is the Strictly Social Club, this group often attends our summer Theatre in the Park events and on these trips, they raise additionally funds for our charity and in February they kindly donated £75 to our cause. Thank you all so much for continuing to support our charity each year.

A huge thank you to the Copper Pottle for there quiz night which they raised a whopping £478.90 and donated every penny to our foundation. We are grateful for all this local micro pub do and can’t begin to thank them enough.

Another thank you for this month goes to Guy from CSM who donated lots of new chairs and cabinets which has allowed us to replace old furniture across multiple of our homes. Thank you, Guy.

A massive thank you this month goes out to cllr Barry Kemp and cllr Mark Joy from Medway Council who came together to donate £500 towards our home in Rainham, Platters Farm Lodge. This money will be used for arts and crafts and their garden. We cannot wait for Platters Farm to have some TLC.

We would like to reiterate our thanks to all that have a collection pot with us like we did last month but this month’s highlight goes to Mole Stores in Canterbury who in one collection pot managed to raise £82.20.

Thank you to our local supermarkets for donations towards our Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday 23 March. Tesco in Canterbury Road donated 10 eggs, Asda in Canterbury donated 30 eggs, Morrisons in Wincheap donated 24 eggs and Bookers in Canterbury for donating 2 boxes of crème eggs.

And finally, this month we would like to say a massive thank you to all our volunteers that help our charity run smoothly each day, we could not provide the care we do without all of your help and support. THANK YOU!
