Places For People & Vistry support improvements to Strode Park Foundation’s Day Opportunities Centre

Thank you to Places For People & Vistry for their generosity towards our gardening group at Strode Park Foundation’s Day Opportunities Centre in Herne. Their wonderful contribution has enabled us to create a new patio area by our greenhouse and fund new high-rise planters to grow plants and vegetables.

Jan Ralph, Day Opportunities Centre, Supervisor said, “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Places For People and Vistry for their generous contribution of £500 towards the creation of a new patio area and planters at our Day Opportunities Centre. This funding has enabled us to make our greenhouse area more accessible for our wheelchair users, ensuring that everyone can enjoy and participate in gardening activities together. Places For People and Vistry’s support will have a lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful for their kindness and commitment to improving opportunities for the people we support.”

Sadia Ahmed, Socio Economic & Community Engagement Manager, Places For People & Vistry, said, “It’s great to see that the community can enjoy the new patio and make use of the planters, which definitely make any space look so much better and smarter, and hopefully the community will love using the planters while growing flowers and vegetables! Places for People + Vistry partnership is so proud to be able to support Strode Park Foundation in this way.”

A Day Centre client shared, “I love our gardening sessions. It is one of my favourite things to do! I like to see things grow.”

This generous support has created opportunities for our clients to enjoy gardening together, develop new skills, and take pride in seeing their plants and vegetables grow. Thank you to Places For People and Vistry for helping make this possible.
