Kirsty Young has been supporting Strode Park Foundation as a volunteer for two and half years and it’s the fun and community...
Our Platters Farm Lodge home held a Christmas event on Sunday 19 December for those who are lonely, vulnerable, elderly or isolated at Christmas in Medway.
There was a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, Christmas pudding and trifle for afters, gifts for all, entertainment, mince pies and festive cheer in abundance!
Thank you to everyone who made it possible to put on including the Kent Community Foundation Medway’s Better Connected Community Chest Fund, the wonderful staff at Platters Farm and entertainers The Totsys!
Everyone had an amazing time!
Karen Jeal, Strode Park Foundation’s Director of Fundraising and Communications said: “After a really tough couple of years it was a joy to see some members of our community come together to enjoy a festive lunch. The idea behind the event was to put on an afternoon of festivities for those who are elderly, lonely or isolated in Medway this Christmas and we successfully did that. We wish everyone in our local area a very happy Christmas and New Year.”
