Sweet support from local fruit growers for Strode Park Foundation

Strode Park Foundation is delighted to have received a £500 donation from fruit growers Edward Vinson Ltd. The cheque was formally presented at the opening of Edward Vinson Ltd new office at Ewell Farm in Faversham.

Graham Clarkson, Breeding Director at Edward Vinson Ltd, said, “Edward Vinson Ltd is delighted to be able to support the Mayor of Faversham’s chosen charity, Strode Park Foundation, in 2025. We are close neighbours in Faversham and we hope to be able to host visits for some of the residents and their carers on the farm this summer.”

Alongside the generous donation, a Strode Park Foundation resident recently had the chance to enjoy a day of strawberry picking at Edward Vinson Ltd Ewell Farm in Faversham.

Robin, a resident at the charity’s Faversham residential home, said, “I had such a brilliant time strawberry picking. The strawberries were delicious, and I loved tasting all the different kinds they had. I really enjoyed picking them, and I was proud to bring so many back with me. The manager even asked if I would like to come back another day, and I would be excited to go again.”

Claire Dante, Registered Manager at Strode Park Foundation’s Faversham care home, shared, “We are so grateful to Edward Vinson Ltd for their wonderful support. The donation will make a real difference, and the opportunity for our residents to go strawberry picking was such a fun and memorable experience. We look forward to building on this partnership in the months ahead—especially as we are launching an exciting new garden project at our home in Faversham. Maybe they can help us grow some strawberries of our own!”
