April 2025 Monthly Thank You

April has been a fantastic month and we have many amazing people, businesses, and organisations to thank. We want to share the wonderful ways in which they have supported—and continue to support—Strode Park Foundation and the work we do.

To begin, we would like to say thank you to:

BBC Radio Kent – Thank you, Dominic King at BBC Radio Kent for talking to Jamie Wilson, Activities Coordinator, at Strode Park House in April. Jamie spoke about how proud we are to be using the EyeHarp software, enabling our residents to create music through their eyes. You can listen to the full interview with Dominic and Jamie on BBC Sounds – www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0kx8r80 at at 2:12:33 onwards.

Easter Egg Donations – We would like to say a massive thank you to some of our local supermarkets, Morrisons Herne Bay, Asda Broadstairs, Asda Canterbury and Tesco Extra Whitstable for their generous donation of Easter Eggs for our Easter Egg Hunt and our residents. Also a special thanks to Widows Son, Slimming World Herne Bay, the Queen’s Regimental Riders Association for also donating some Easter Eggs to our cause. Thank you.

Easter Egg Hunt 2025 – Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Easter Egg Hunt extravaganza. It was a joy to see so many happy faces enjoying the morning while supporting Strode Park Foundation. We are also very grateful to the Kent Fire Service and Kent Police for taking the time to attend and to all our amazing volunteers for working so hard. Finally, a huge thank you to the Lord Mayor of Canterbury and Lady Mayoress for joining us and judging our wonderful Easter bonnet parade and to all the lovely ticket holders that came along thank you.

Copper Pottle – A huge thank you to the local micro pub in Beltinge, Coppe Pottle, who recently held an Easter Raffle which raised a fantastic £726 for Coach House Sensory Room. Thank you to all their staff and customers for continuing to support our charity.

Whitstable Twinning Association – A huge thank you to the Whitstable Twinning Association for hosting a fabulous Barn Dance in aid of Strode Park Foundation, raising an amazing £648 to support people with disabilities. Special thanks to Trish for her fantastic organisation of the event.

THANK YOU
