About the Role
Would you like to have a direct impact on our residents, visitors and all the staff working at Footprints in Stodmarsh, Canterbury by ensuring a clean environment is maintained? Keeping Footprints a welcoming and safe environment is no easy task, which is why the role of Housekeeping Assistant is crucially important to our home.
This role is working Monday to Friday each week for 30 hours per week at £12.21 per hour.
We are keen to recruit someone who has a strong interest in working in care services and a desire to make a difference to the young people we support so if you are compassionate, hardworking and an excellent team player we hope to hear from you!
Job Opportunity
As Housekeeping Assistant at Footprints, you will:
- Ensure that the resident's personal space is kept in line with the personal choices they express whilst meeting health and safety obligations
- Be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of our residents
- Clean bathrooms, bedrooms and communal areas to a high standard, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures

Footprints provides care on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we value reliable and flexible staff. Essential Skills
Our ideal Housekeeping Assistant will:
- Have cleaning experience
- The ability to read and understand instructions, especially the correct use of chemicals
- Have pride in your work and a keen eye for detail
- Hold a driving licence and access to your own vehicle (as may be required to go shopping)
- Be honest, reliable and trustworthy
Although not essential, it would be an advantage if you have experience of working in a care home environment.
