Driver - Strode Park House
About the Role

As a one of our drivers, you will play an important role transporting service users for a variety of different outings and ensuring they return safely home again. This role involves driving residents with different requirements based on their mobility classification. You will provide and maintain a caring environment for these individuals and provide a comfortable friendly transport service, maintaining high standards of timekeeping and safety.
We are offering this role on a permanent basis, part-time, working 15 hours per week.
Job Opportunity
What’s Involved:
- Assist, move and handle patients, who may be ambulatory or are wheelchair users, using appropriate equipment where necessary e.g. carrying patients up the stairs using a carry chair, moving immobile patients in and out of bed and maneuvering patients in wheelchairs into and out of the vehicle and on stretchers as necessary. You will ensure patients are safely seated whilst in transit.
- Ensure the use of appropriate equipment and approved manual handling techniques.
- Maintain the cleanliness and ensure the routine daily checks of designated vehicles are carried out prior to deployment.
- Assist residents when entering and leaving their homes and take all reasonable actions to ensure the safety and security of their property.
- Provide support as directed in the event of serious injury or emergency.
- To be flexible on a daily basis to support the needs of the Foundation.
