As a Housekeeping Assistant in our dedicated team at our home at Lady Dane Farmhouse, you will ensure a welcoming and safe environment, demonstrating that first impressions matter.
If you take pride in making sure your surroundings are kept to an excellent standard and have a strong interest in Adult Care Services, then you could be just the perfect person we’re looking for.
As a full time Housekeeping Assistant you will:
- Ensure that the resident’s personal space is kept in line with the personal choices they express, and meets health and safety obligations of the home.
- Ensure that all communal areas, bathrooms and bedrooms are kept clean and tidy.
- Replenish PPE stock throughout the home.
- Be responsible for checking and auditing first aid boxes.
- Undertake cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
As a Strode Park Foundation colleague, you will get comprehensive support from day one and will receive training and development opportunities to develop your skills.
Lady Dane Farmhouse is a beautiful 15-bedded home set in the Kent countryside on the outskirts of the historic town of Faversham. The home welcomes adults with mixed disabilities who need long or short-term residential care.

Essential Skills
Our ideal Housekeeping Assistant will:
- Have cleaning experience, not necessarily gained through employment.
- Be able to read and understand instructions, especially the correct use of chemicals.
- Be flexible to cover the shifts required by the post.
- Possess good communication skills and be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
Although not essential, it would be an advantage if you already have experience of working in a care home environment.
