Activities Co-ordinator - Strode Park House
About the Role
Can you co-ordinate and deliver activities and entertainment to suit various interests and abilities? Are you passionate about enriching the lives and experiences of residents in our care home to promote their physical, emotional and social well-being whilst making them happy?
In this extremely rewarding position, you will play an important role in enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing of our residents by encouraging them to participate in a wide range of activities and social events!
We are offering our Activities Co-ordinator full time hours (37.5 hours per week) on £24,166 per annum.
Job Opportunity
As Activities Co-ordinator you will:
- help to create an atmosphere within our home by providing comfort and company within a group setting, or on a one-to-one basis as required
- set up and run activity sessions, providing appropriate support so that residents gain maximum benefits, based on their individual care plans
- drive the Foundation's transport when required, to ensure that our service users are able to achieve an appropriate level of independence
- promote the home by assisting with events and activities during the day, and where agreed, during evenings and weekends
- work as directed by the resident to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met, by helping them to the toilet and/or providing catheter care

Strode Park House is a residential home with nursing care for 55 adults with physical disabilities and complex needs in Herne, Kent. We’ve been delivering care since 1946, and this residential home is where it all started.

Essential Skills
Our ideal Activities Co-ordinator will:
- have a strong interest in working in adult care services and have a desire to make a real difference
- be creative, enthusiastic, compassionate and caring
- have a full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle and/or be willing to drive the Foundation's vehicles
- be able to be directed by residents who use our services to bespoke their activities to their needs
- be flexible and able to meet the working pattern required by this role.
