Hot out of Brighton and new to Theatre in the Park this year come the Electric Cabaret Company with their sensational Seventies Revue show!

We spoke to the main woman behind the Electric Cabaret Company, January King about what they are up to at the moment and what will be happening on the night itself…

What are you looking forward to about your Theatre in the Park show?

“We can’t wait for our road trip to Kent. We’ve heard that the audience members that support Strode are a really game bunch and we are hoping there might be some 70’s fancy dress going on!”

What else can our audience expect from the night?

“Our funky disco roller girl, punk rock mayhem fire and spark act, disco inferno fire dancer, excessive Elvis, hunky Swedish handy man, singing TV host Bob Baxter and his glamorous showgirl assistant are all ready to welcome you to travel back in time as we take a hilarious look at a decade that style forgot.

Are you going to play our glitzy seventies game show Bob’s Bouncing Balls? Thanks to Ebay there are some superfly seventies prizes up for grabs. Prepare to get squiffy on the Babycham, it’s time to party seventies style with a very large helping of Boogie Wonderland on the dance floor!”

Do you have any other shows coming up that the Theatre in the Park audience could come see you at?

“We are excited (and somewhat terrified) to be part of the cult Mr Thing show. Hailing from London this underground touring show is absolutely bonkers and we will be singing, pole dancing and chatting on the sofa. Anything can happen and usually does.”

We are also working on our brand new immersive show ‘Come Fly With Me’ with our new singer, comedian and renowned character actress on the cabaret circuit Scarlett Billows. This will be debuting at the Brighton Fringe Festival on 25 May.”
