“Having qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1977, I held a variety of posts in Kent working for the NHS and Social Services.

During my career as an OT, I worked in day hospitals, in-patient services, wheelchair and specialist seating, and a Children’s Assessment Service.

In 2004 I became a Clinical Director for Canterbury and Coastal Primary Care Trust with responsibility for several Community Therapy Services, as well as being the Lead Allied Health Professional; I retired from the NHS in 2011.

I’m particularly interested in clinical governance and the promotion of independence for residents.”
