Support Workers

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, caring, reliable individuals to join our highly motivated team to provide support and promote independence to people who have experienced; ill health, disability, or lost confidence to lead independent lives.

Experience of working within rehabilitation, respite, dementia and day service settings is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided to successful applicants.

You must be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative to a high standard. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

You must have a Diploma/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards the award within twelve months of being in post. 

Full Driving Licence is preferred

We offer an hourly rate of pay at £7.13 per hour social or £7.40 per hour unsocial. 

Working hours: 35 Hours per week.  Working hours are to be worked on a 24 hour rota which includes weekends and evenings.

Children’s Residential Senior Carer

Canterbury

Strode Park Foundation is a charity based in Herne Bay, Canterbury and Rainham.  It is fully CQC & OFSTED compliant and has an excellent reputation.  It provides residential and community services to adults and children with complex disabilities.

You will confidently be able to provide physical and social support to Children so that they can achieve an appropriate level of independence and wellbeing in line with their aspirations and abilities.

Apprentice Carers

Required in the Herne Bay and Canterbury area

We are looking to recruit up to eight apprentice carers, 7 in Strode Park Herne and one in our home in Canterbury. You will have the opportunity to obtain a Diploma in Care. Full training support will be provided from our experienced training team.

You will have the opportunity to work and learn in a home that provides a full range of rehabilitation, care and support for people with a range of complex disabilities.  This can either be in their own home or in our premises.

Working 35 Hours Per Week

Pay £125 per week rising to £232.00 per week after successfully completing a six month probationary period.

Manager

Platters Farm Lodge, Medway

Salary: £38,461.00 per annum rising to £40,000.00 per annum

Hours: 35 Hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated experienced individual to manage one of our residential and respite homes within the Medway. You will work alongside the senior management team, to ensure the delivery of high quality residential, respite and day care services.

We are looking for an experienced, focused individual to manager our 43 bedded home for adults requiring respite and rehabilitation services. You will be responsible for the staff and systems management so that you ensure an excellent service is provided to the service users. Through this, you will maintain a safe, caring and stimulating environment for services users and their visitors. Applicants for this post should have a commitment to a person centered approach to care, and possess proven time management and organizational skills within a similar service user group.

You should have a professional manner, excellent communication skills both verbal and written and be able to manage a team

You must have or be working towards a qualification required to fulfill the registration requirements.

Lead Carer

Strode Park House

Salary: £7.53 per hour Social, £8.14 per hour Unsocial

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked on a seven day rota

Requirements: Diploma/NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, with at least two years experience within a similar role

If you are patient with excellent communication and leadership skills, have the ability to support staff whilst they are undertaking their induction and ongoing development, the above post could be the one for you.

You will need confidently to be able to provide physical and social support to individuals to ensure they can achieve an appropriate level of independence and wellbeing in line with their aspirations and abilities.

In addition to this you will be responsible for:

  • The Induction & Training of all new and existing staff to ensure they are able to deliver the service at the standard required.
  • Be responsible for the support and supervision of all care staff.
  • Pro-actively lead a team of dedicated care staff for a designated area of the home

Community Carer

Would you like to assist people with physical disabilities to live independently in their own homes?

We are currently recruiting compassionate self-motivated and outgoing individuals for our ComCare service. Our service provides care and support to physically disabled adults and children in their own homes to help maintain their individual needs and levels of independence. 

You may already be experienced, if not you will receive all necessary training. We also offer the opportunity to further you career through additional recognized training such as a Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Good communication skills, own transport and mobile phone are essential for the position.

We operate a shift pattern for all Care Staff which allows our staff to work around personal commitments, the shifts are allocated within the specified times on a rolling two week rota:

Week one: Early shifts 7am – 2pm

Week two: Late shifts 2pm – 10pm

We are looking to recruit carers working between 16, 20 and 35 hour per week within Herne Bay, Whitstable and Canterbury areas.

We offer hourly rates of pay from £6.76 per hour to £8.76 per hour.

Mileage allowance paid @ 23p per mile.

You will assist in delivering activities to enable service users to maximise their capabilities.


We are looking for motivated and committed individuals with a calm approach. Experience of working within residential care is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided to suitable applicants.

You must be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative to high standards. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

You must have a NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards the award within twelve months of being in the post. Full Driving Licence is preferred.

We offer an hourly rate of pay at £6.63 per hour social or £6.90 per hour unsocial. An Enhancement of 20p per hour paid for relevant qualification.

Working hours: 39 hours per week, working days, nights and weekends.

Care Assistant

Canterbury

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic, caring, reliable individuals to work with young adults with physical and learning disabilities.

Successful candidates will be expected to empower our young residents to engage in a range of activities of their choice and provide appropriate physical and personal care throughout the day and night.

We are looking for motivated and committed individuals who must be able to work as part of a team and where necessary, on your own initiative to a high standard. Good interpersonal skills and communication are essential.

Candidates should be able to work fully flexible hours on a shift basis; day shifts are 8:00am until 08:00pm and flexible to cover night shifts 08:00pm until 08:00am

Proven experience within a care environment is desirable however full training is provided to successful applicants

You must have an NVQ/Diploma 2 in care or be willing to work towards the award.

We offer an hourly rate of pay from £6.63 per hour Social £6.90 per hour Unsocial. 

Working hours: 36 hours per week, which includes days/nights and weekends.  Driving Licence essential
