Team Leader – Community Care

If you are patient with excellent communication and leadership skills, have the ability to support staff whilst they are undertaking their induction and ongoing development, the above post could be the one for you!

You will need to confidently be able to provide physical and social support to individuals to ensure they can achieve an appropriate level of independence and wellbeing in line with their aspirations and abilities.

In addition to this you will be responsible for:

  • The Induction & Training of all new and existing staff to ensure they are able to deliver the service at the standard required.
  • Be responsible for the support and supervision of all staff within your team.
  • Pro-actively lead your team of dedicated care staff for a designated area within the community
  • Organise and allocate rotas to all care staff within your team
  • Participate in the on-call rota for Team Leaders

Essential to the role is a Diploma/NVQ 3 in Care and a current driving licence with at least 2 years experience within a similar role.

Hourly Rate of pay from ₤7.04 per hour to ₤9.04 per hour, plus Allowance for on-call, mileage paid at 23p per mile

Hours 35 Hours per week worked over one week of earlier shifts, one week of late shifts, alternate weekend working.

Cook

Footprints, Canterbury

Strode Park Foundation is a charity with over 60 years experience in working with people with disabilities, providing long stay and rehabilitation services.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right skills to get involved in a demanding Kitchen within our services at Footprints, Canterbury.

Supporting the Head Cook and other kitchen Staff, you will confidently be able to multi task to a highly efficient standard and communicate/liaise with people at all levels.

Vital to this position is the ability to maintain professional standards and to show a flair and enthusiasm for a clean & healthy workplace.

Hours: 37 hours per week, on a shift pattern worked over 7 days, including weekends.

Hourly Rate £7.29 per hour. An additional 20p/hr will be paid for NVQ Qualification.

A driver is desirable but not essential

Benefits include 28 days annual leave, full in-house Training provided and free onsite parking.

Cook

Strode Park House, Herne Bay

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right skills to get involved in a demanding kitchen.  Working within our residential unit in Herne Bay, you will ensure that Nutritional food is served to our residents and staff.

You will be working with raw ingredients and have knowledge of food/nutrition to prepare and cook nutritional food to a high standard at agreed meal times.

You should be able to multi-task to a highly efficient standard, be able to communicate with residents and staff at all levels whilst providing special dietary requirements where necessary, whilst taking into account individual client’s needs and preferences.

Vital to the position is the ability to maintain professional standards for a clean and healthy workplace and the ability to prepare and provide well presented and nutritious meals set according to daily menu.

Previous experience within a busy kitchen environment is essential

Independence Trainer

Strode Park House, Herne Bay

Working throughout our Lifestyles Unit you will be involved in enabling our young students to reach to their full potential, enabling them to eventually live independently.

You should be able to support their independence and social physical well being within a sensitive and supportive environment.

You will assist in delivering activities to enable students to maximize their learning capabilities.

You will maintain an accurate record for the students training, whilst ensuring all clients meet their personal hygiene and nutritional needs.

Experience in care is preferred though full training will be given with the opportunity to obtain a Diploma 2 in Care.

  • 35 Hours per week including evenings and weekends.
  • Hourly rate of Pay £6.63 per hour, £6.90 per hour Unsocial
  • Driving License is preferred
  • Additional allowance is paid for Diploma/NVQ 2 Qualification.

Support Workers

Platters Farm Lodge, Rainham

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, caring, reliable individuals to join our highly motivated team to provide support and promote independence to people who have experienced; ill health, disability, or lost confidence to lead independent lives.

Experience of working within rehabilitation, respite, dementia and day service settings is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided to successful applicants.

You must be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative to a high standard. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

You must have a Diploma/NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards the award within twelve months of being in post. 

  • Full Driving Licence is preferred
  • We offer an hourly rate of pay at £7.13 per hour social or £7.40 per hour unsocial. 
  • Working hours: 35 Hours per week.  Working hours are to be worked on a 24 hour rota which includes weekends and evenings.

Neuro-Physiotherapist

Re-Ability, a service provided by Strode Park Foundation, Kent’s premier charity for children and adults with disabilities.  The service is a residential post-acute, neuro-rehab service that works in partnership with the NHS and its commissioners.

Our multi-disciplinary team is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic physiotherapist with a special interest in acute rehabilitation while providing the best possible care.

The role will require the post holder to take on their own caseload, while being part of an experienced team of therapists who take a proactive and innovative approach to CPD, evidence based practice and service development.

Community Carer

Would you like to assist people to live independently in their own homes?

You may already be experienced; if not you will receive all necessary training. We also offer the opportunity to further you career through additional recognized training such as a Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Good communication skills, own transport and mobile phone are essential for the position.

We operate a shift pattern for all Community Care Staff which allows you to work around personal commitments, the shifts are allocated within the specified times on a rolling two week rota:

Week one: Early shifts 7am – 2pm

Week two: Late shifts 2pm – 10pm

Main Duties:

  • You will assist the Cooks, with the provision of meals within the Home and Day Centre when necessary.
  • Clear tables after meals, wash up all crockery, cutlery, pots and utensils and to ensure the kitchen and dining room is kept clean and tidy
  • To assist with serving food to residents, clients and staff and with setting out the dining room for meals.
  • To assist with preparation of refreshments for functions that may take place throughout the Foundation.

Permanent hours available: 24 hours per week or alternative Bank hours mainly at weekends.

Hourly Rate £6.63 per hour Social £6.90 per hour Unsocial.

Care Assistant

As a Care Assistant you will show warmth and support to the residents, helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in your care. Your main responsibilities will be to provide a high level of care to our residents ensuring their wellbeing, giving personal care, maintaining a high level of hygiene, accurately recording observations in accordance with the resident’s conditions, informing the senior on duty of any changes and responding accordingly, serving meals and assisting our residents as necessary.

The fun club is currently running from July to September, 11am to 3pm and it includes arts and crafts, music and lots of fun!!!
